We were smit­ten by the French Bull­dog breed sev­eral years ago. Now, sev­eral Frenchies gra­ciously allow us to share our home with them. They are even kind enough to allow us first dibs on the couch, once in awhile, but we can always fake them out by throw­ing a favorite chewie across the room.
