Today Ghost turns two and in the past two weeks, Ghost has raked in the points at local shows. He won a total of four points at the October Belton, Texas shows, then this weekend he snabbed his first major in Austin for another 3 points! Quite the birthday treat, a few days early, for this little cream/fawn boy.
Our big treat was the photographic recording of a great day by noted photographer friends, Alan Klemp and his wife Jill. They hung out ringside, with Alan capturing Ghost’s wins in the morning and Jill his Group 1 win in the Bred-by competition that afternoon. (Ghost won Best of Breed, Bred-by along with that major, by the way.
)
Alan is known for his spectacular macro and mandala work of nature subjects, particularly flowers. (View his work at Alan Klemp Photography.) The low lighting and fast-moving show ring subjects put both photographers through their F-stop paces, but the results are above par. See their lovely portrait work below, but then we are rather partial to the subject.
