Today’s the day! Central Texas breaks the 1925 record of 69 days over 100° F with day 70 for 2011; and with the crispy expectation of besting it by another couple of weeks before we see a day less than 100° around here.

What do people do when they need to make a serious change in the weather? They dance! See Central Texans doing some serious, and not quite so serious, rain dancing at Lake Travis Rain Dance. Contestants are competing for votes, prizes, your comments, but the biggest prize would be a big ‘ole drenching of this dry, dry dirt.

Mandie-Sue wants to do her part to bring some rain showers so she put on her best serious face and went to town in a leopard ensemble to the tune of Swedish band Fulkultur’s Ugly Dance. Help her with her moves and do a little rain dance of your own. (Hind Legs operate the bottom legs and Front Legs operate the arms.)

Oh yeah… If you have a little spare rain, please send it our way.
