Recently expanded our Following list on Twitter, and around noon a cursory check of incoming Twitter feeds included a Pet Connection tweet that Dr. Marty Becker’s Big Bus Tour was going to be in Austin for a book signing – today – in about an hour!
Gave Rocksie a fast swipe and we high-tailed it over to Petco where he and contributor, Gina Spadafori, were meeting, greeting, and signing books for human and canine fans.

Rocksie was tickled by this unexpected trip and went straight to work as we walked in. She launched into full flirt mode and Dr. Becker may have been one of her first targets. He certainly didn’t mind and they had a great time together. At one point he began demonstrating a rolling back massage maneuver to Rocksie’s delight. She needed it after doing several signature 360° butt wiggles for him, fans, staff, and some rather confused poodles and shepherds. (Why was this gremlin-looking and –sounding dog trying to flirt with them!?)
Dr. Becker was kind enough to allow a few celebrity-style photos with Rocksie. Of course we picked up a copy of his new book and are now the proud owners of Your Dog: The Owner’s Manual: Hundreds of Secrets, Surprises, and Solutions for Raising a Happy, Healthy Dog. Looking forward to digging into it later today and uncovering some of those secrets, surprises, and solutions for our crew.

Rocksie had a great time and is now enjoying a serious nap. Who knew this morning, a simple glance at a Twitter feed would lead her to a celebrity meet-greet-and-wiggle?
