Longtime readers of this blog know all about Pascal and his adventures. Well guess what this little beige boy and his owner did this past weekend? They won the Wackiest Costume Category at Dogtoberfest Austin!

Pascal dressed up as Prince Poppycock, complete with wig and fancy attire. He and his attendant (owner Stephanie) strolled across the stage in a cart customized as his own personal stage, tricked out with spotlights and music. The crowd and judges seemed to enjoy the display, and must have for this little, ‘ole guy to win the big prize. He certainly had some fierce competition up there.

The event benefited several local animal rescue groups and was MC’ed by local weatherman, Jim Spencer of KXAN News. Check out KXAN coverage of the event here.

A big salute to all entrants, sponsors, and organizers. It was an amazing event.

Gotta include one more photo link to a favorite costume worn by a cousin breed (Pug) appearing as Marvin the Martian. It’s a hoot!
